For Flips Sake

Private and Small Group Lessons

Private tumbling lessons can be a great way to improve your skills, whether you're just starting out or looking to refine advanced techniques. We offer private tumbling instruction for gymnasts, cheerleaders dancers and more!  You provide the space and we provide all the mats to teach handstands, cartwheels, roundoffs, front and back walkovers, front and back handsprings, front and back saltos, arial cartwheels and running tumbling!

FAQs:

What is the cost?

Private lessons are $30 for 30 minutes or $50 for an hour.  We can do  small groups of up to 3 kids for one price which makes them more cost friendly.

What kind of space is required?

Often if the weather is good we can work outdoors provided you have a relatively flat surface.  If you prefer indoors or the weather is too hot or rainy for outdoors it will be largely dependent on the type of skills we are working on.  To work standing tumbling and basics we don't require a huge amount of space (often a clear area in a living room, playroom or hallway is sufficient).  Running tumbling does require more space indoors (my airtracks are 16 and 20 feet long).

Benefits of private tumbling lessons:

  1. Personalized Instruction: One-on-one attention allows for tailored instruction that fits your specific needs and skill level.

  2. Flexible Scheduling: You can usually arrange lessons at times that work best for you.

  3. Focused Feedback: Immediate and detailed feedback helps you improve more quickly.

  4. Customized Goals: We can help you set and achieve personal goals, whether it's mastering a particular tumbling pass or improving your technique.

What to Expect:

  1. Initial Assessment: The instructor may assess your current skill level to tailor the lessons to your needs.

  2. Progressive Learning: Expect to start with fundamental skills and progressively move to more advanced techniques.

  3. Safety: Tumbling involves risk, so we will prioritize safety and proper technique.

Preparing for Lessons:

  1. Warm-Up: Make sure you're physically prepared with a good warm-up before your lesson.

  2. Goals: Think about what you want to achieve so you can discuss this with your instructor.

  3. Gear: Wear appropriate tumbling attire and, if necessary, bring any equipment or gear recommended by your instructor.

Whether you’re a Cheer Gym, Dance Studio, High School Cheer Team or just have a group looking to improve their tumbling skills, hosting a tumbling clinic can be a great way to receive expert instruction and make significant progress. Coach Robyn of Revolution Gymnastics offers a variety of fun, fast paced and affordable clinics at NO COST to your facility (you will actually make $$)!

How it works:

  1. Select a date and time to host the clinic - we recommend Saturday or Sunday!

  2. Let us know approximately how many students might be attending (we require a minimum of 4 students and recommend a max of 12 students for each session although this will largely depend on your space). You can decide if the event is open to the public or a private event for just your students.

  3. We normally recommend doing 2 back-to-back 2 hour sessions (one for beginner and one for advanced) but are happy to discuss doing more or less based on occupancy (ie. also do an intermediate).

  4. We charge $25 per head for the 2 hour session and most facilities will add their own fee on top of this (we recommend $15 per head but this is strictly up to you).

  5. We are happy to let you handle the registration or we can handle it - there is no difference in price. If you are handling it we will need a final headcount by 3 days before the event (for staffing and invoicing).

  6. We will supply promotional materials for you to email, place on social media or have posters at your facility. To generate excitement we recommend promoting this event for a minimum of 30 days.

What we do:

  • Skill Development: Coaches will help participants improve their tumbling techniques, working on basic skills like cartwheels and walkovers as well as more advanced skills like handsprings, aerials and saltos.

  • Technique and Form: Emphasis is placed on perfecting technique to ensure both safety and effectiveness. This might include drills to improve body alignment, strength, and flexibility.

  • Conditioning: Tumbling requires strength and flexibility. We will include exercises and routines to build the necessary muscles and improve overall fitness.

  • Safety: Proper spotting techniques and safety measures are crucial and we will cover how to execute moves safely.

  • Personalized Feedback: Participants receive individual attention and feedback to help them progress based on their current skill level and goals.

  • Fun and Motivation: Our clinics are designed to be engaging and motivating, offering a chance to meet other tumblers and enjoy a focused, high-energy environment.
